Unlock Opportunities at Livingstone
Livingstone College's H.O.P.E. Emancipation Project is providing scholarships to unlock endless opportunities for foster care students aging out of the system.
Welcome from the President
Greetings!
I am Dr. Anthony J. Davis, the 13th President of Livingstone College. I launched the H.O.P.E. Emancipation Project for men and women just like me who have aged out of the system and desire to go to college. That's right, from the day I was born until the day that I emancipated myself at the age of 17, I was in the foster care system.
When I left the system, I never needed public assistance again - I was truly emancipated. That's what this program is all about. H.O.P.E. is an acronym for Healing, Opportunity, Preparation, and Empowerment. It is designed to be a socioeconomic pathway for students who age out of foster care to gain a college degree, become healthy and whole, and achieve true emancipation.
I am excited that you have inquired about attending Livingstone College and honored that you are also a President 13 Scholar candidate.
Peace and Blessings, Dr. Anthony J. Davis Livingstone College President and CEO
