Our Village

Meet the Director of H.O.P.E.

As the Director of the H.O.P.E. Emancipation Project, I am truly honored to serve a population that is too often overlooked and underserved. This work is deeply personal and profoundly important because it’s not just about access to college, it’s about creating a future where our students feel seen, supported, and empowered. H.O.P.E. doesn’t just give them a voice, it gives them the structure, opportunity, and belief they need to succeed.

Meet Our Success Coach

Ms. Wendy Baskins serves as our the Success Coach for the President 13 Scholars, providing individualized support to ensure each student’s academic, personal and social success. She acts as a central point of connection, linking Scholars to critical on-campus resources such as financial aid, academic support services, and mental and physical healthcare. Additionally, Ms. Baskins assists students in accessing off-campus resources. Through ongoing check-ins and proactive engagement, Ms. Baskins empowers Scholars to navigate college life with confidence and to take full advantage of the support systems in place from them to thrive at Livingstone College.
